On Saturday, the Aces continue their final home series of the season at Greater Nevada Field against the Salt Lake Bees (66-75, 29-38). Left-hander Blake Walston, a first-round pick by the Diamondbacks in 2019, draws the start for Reno. He is 10-6 in 28 starts with a 4.67 ERA and 1.59 WHIP in 138.2 innings. Veteran right-hander Carson Fulmer will go for the Bees on Saturday. He is 0-1 with a 4.34 ERA in 11 games and 10 starts, posting a 1.66 WHIP in 37.1 innings.

Salt Lake won for the fifth time in seven games, evening the series on Friday with a 6-4 victory. The Bees took the lead with a three-run third inning and held off a ninth-inning rally. Jack López delivered a two-run double in the third and an RBI single in the fifth while Jo Adell hit his 24th home run of the season, a two-run shot in the first.
The Aces evened the score with two runs in the bottom of the first on a two-run single by Blaze Alexander. In the ninth, Reno had the tying run at first with one out but was stymied from there. Pavin Smith had an RBI single in the seventh and Phillip Evans drove in a run with a ninth-inning sacrifice fly.
Reno is the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks while the Bees are the top minor-league outlet for the Los Angeles Angels.
